How to Work with Exception approval (Biometrics Data) in Paywings?

When biometrics device are used for attendance, there can be instances in which Employees attendance could not be found due to various reasons; for e.g  employee went onsite, working from home, or got approval to come late etc. these are considered as exception subjects to approval from the user to whom this  Employee ID is assigned in Assign user to employees tile.

Please follow step by step instructions as described in this document.

  • Click on Exception Approval Tile.


  • User should select Payroll Period.

  • Click on View button, list of all the employees will be displayed.

  • User should click  on view hyperlink to view attendance of the Employee.


  • Attendance of the selected Payroll Period (i.e. selected month and year)for the specific employee will be displayed.


  • User should check  the check box to Approve  attendance of the  Employee, which could not be found in the biometric device correctly or due to reasons for e.g. employee went onsite, working from home, or got approval to come late etc.

  • Click on Save Button.
  • A message pops " Updated Successfully" , click on OK button to save in Database.
